March Classes

Our classes take place from 7:00-9:00 PM every Wednesday at Semeneya Ballroom (12066 Starcrest Dr. #210, 78247). After the classes, there is a DJ'd social dance from 9:00-11:00 PM.

Level 1: Intro to East Coast Swing (8:00 - 9:00 pm)

Anyone can join any week. No partner required! No dance shoes required. Smile required! Whether you've never danced a day in your life or are an experienced dancer who just wants a quick refresher course in the basics, this is the class for you.

Level 1: Intro to Lindy Hop (7:00 - 8:00 pm)

Lindy Hop is the granddaddy of swing and once you learn this dance, you'll understand why this has become a global craze! This class will focus on the fundamental 8-count footwork and lead/follow technique.

Pre-requisite: You must be comfortable with 6-count East Coast Swing. Completion of at least one 4-week East Coast Swing course recommended.

Level 2: Lindy Extras (7:00 - 8:00 pm)

Are you looking to expand your Lindy vocabulary? This course is all about adding new moves and styling to bring your Lindy Hop up a notch.

Pre-requisite: You must be comfortable with Lindy Hop. Completion of at least one 4-week Intro to Lindy Hop course recommended.

Charleston level 1 (8:00 - 9:00 pm)

This is a great solo jazz course that is great for learning new moves and techniques as well as strengthening your fundamentals.

Silver Center Swing Dance with Dirty River Dixie Band.
Starting in March we will be having a 2nd Saturday night dance in Sequin, TX.
12 MAR 16 is the second dance with this great band.
Beginner lesson from 7-8pm
Band starts at 8pm and plays to 11pm
$12 general admission
$10 Silver center members, SASDS members and students with ID
$4 for Children ages 12 and under.

Every Monday Night at Sams Burger Joint

Join us for a night of Dancing at Sam's Burger Joint.
Lessons from 7:00-8:00 pm
Really good swing dance bands from 8:00 pm until closing.
There is a swing dance circle during the bands intermission where all dancers can show their stuff.
Food is awesome

Skyline Swing with The Jim Cullum Jazz Band

Saturday, March 5th, and the first Saturday of every month in 2016, come swing out at Skyline Swing, brought to you by Tucker's Kozy Korner and KRTU, your local jazz radio station! We have been working hard with to bring you this new monthly event at Trinity University's Skyline Restaurant. Pricing and location details are below - we hope to see you the first Saturday of every month at this exciting new series of events!
